Golf Gear Newswire : Golf Academy of America Institutes New President’s Award for Excellence

PHOENIX — The oldest and largest two-year golf college in the world, the Golf Academy of America (GAA) continues to demonstrate its commitment to excellence and honoring students who achieve the highest levels of excellence in their studies. The GGA Phoenix Campus has proudly named 11 graduates as the first recipients of the Academy’s all-new President’s Award for their outstanding academic achievements.

The recent President Award recipients at the Phoenix Campus were: Tyson Siegler of Milbrook, N.Y., Brandon Mohl of Missoula, Mon.; Paul Chase Loyd of Boise City, Okla..; Ryan Linnell of Chandler, Ariz.; Timothy Davis of Dubuque, Iowa; Michael Rohrkemper of Macomb, Mich.; John Kim of Bellevue, Wash.; Bradley Hazen of Phoenix; Dallen Harding of Pocatello, Idaho; Jeremiah Chaney of Gilbert, Ariz.; and Andrew Buchholz of New Castle, Colo.

Initiated in the Fall of 2009, the new award is presented to graduates who achieve a GPA of 3.67 or higher, 90 percent or greater attendance, pass PGA, GAA or LPGA player ability test, receive two certifications from GAA and three letters of recommendation from PGA staff.

“The entire campus is extremely proud to recognize these 11 graduates who have achieved the highest standards while attending at the Golf Academy of America,” says Tim Eberlein, Phoenix campus director and PGA Master Professional. “They have set the bar very high in their academic attendance, and I’m confident they will excel in the professional careers within the golf industry as well.”
