BOULDER, Colo. – When Adams Golf (NasdaqCM: ADGF) selected the shaft for its new high performance premium Idea Pro Black irons, they went with the hot new shaft that continues its phenomenal growth among the best players in the world, the KBS Tour Steel shaft.  

Designed for skilled players, the Adams Golf Idea Pro Black premium set of irons features eight tour-proven muscle-back irons with forged carbon steel heads and a distinctive black nickel ion finish. The KBS Tour steel shafts match the heads with an exclusive beautiful black nickel finish.  The precisely located center of gravity of the Idea Pro Black irons work perfectly together with the KBS Tour Steel shafts to deliver a penetrating ball flight for superior shot making ability with an exceptionally soft feel.

According to FST's renowned shaft designer, Kim Braly, “We stepped outside the normal parameters and applied a new design method in the development of the KBS Tour shaft.  The objective was to achieve a penetrating ball flight by maximizing the flow of energy in the shaft, like a whip.  By studying the MOI (moment of inertia) and the EI (flexural rigidity) of varying shaft sections, we were able to specify the most effective reductions in stiffness throughout the length of the shaft.
