NEWARK, Ohio — The GolfWorks proudly announces the graduation of its newest class of clubmakers from The GolfWorks Fitting, Assembly & Repair School, one of the clubmaking industry’s premier technical certification programs. The newest graduates include: Patrick McClain of Buffalo, N.Y.; Mike Olmstead of Tupelo, Miss.; James Ragland of Oroville, Calif.; Tim Friend of Montpelier, Ohio; Keith Nahlovsky of San Diego, Calif.; Maurice LeBlanc of Cambridge, Ontario; and Johan Sjoberg of Haesslehom, Sweden.

“The GolfWorks Fitting, Assembly & Repair School has set the standard for complete clubmaking and repair instruction for two decades, and it remains the most comprehensive training program in clubmaking today,” says Britt Lindsey, vice president of technical services for The GolfWorks. “Ralph Maltby, who founded The GolfWorks more than 25 years ago, was the industry’s first leader in custom fitting, so our training staff is extremely dedicated in providing a complete understanding of custom clubmaking and repair skills.”

During the five-day Fitting, Assembly & Repair program, clubmakers receive extensive individual attention and a comprehensive understanding of custom fitting and golf equipment assembly and repair. An added bonus for attendees of this session is a tour of the Maltby Design Golf Club Studio, where they see one of the most comprehensive and elaborate R&D prototype development centers in the golf industry.

Since 1982, thousands of clubmakers, golf industry experts and PGA professionals have visited The GolfWorks design and manufacturing campus in Newark, Ohio, to learn the latest skills and technology from the game’s premier technical staff. GolfWorks classes qualify for PGA of America Continuing Education credits and are approved by the Professional Clubmakers Society.
