MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Shafts designed and manufactured by True Temper continue to show true dominance on professional tours worldwide. The new Project X graphite shafts and Dynamic Gold steel shafts combined to win the Dunlop Phoenix on the Japan Tour and the Omega Mission Hills World Cup on the European Tour over the past two weekends.

In Japan, the Italian champion won the Dunlop Phoenix playing the new Project X graphite shafts in his driver, 3-wood, 5-wood and hybrid clubs, and he relied upon True Temper’s Dynamic Gold steel shafts in his irons. This past weekend, he and his brother then teamed up to win the Omega Mission Hills World Cup, once again playing True Temper.

“The Dunlop Phoenix and World Cup are terrific wins and are great examples of how Project X and Dynamic Gold shafts continue to lead the industry in every shaft category,” says Scott Hennessy, president and CEO of True Temper Sports. “True Temper shafts are used by top Tour players throughout the world, and we’re very excited by how strongly our new Project X graphite shafts have exploded out of the gate with victory after victory.”

Dynamic Gold shafts have won more events in PGA TOUR history than all other shaft brands combined, and they remain the most popular shaft in the world today. Dynamic Gold shafts are also the top-selling shaft in golf and feature a high-flex, tour weight design and are available in tapered and parallel irons and parallel woods.
The new high-performance Project X design is available in a graphite driver and hybrid shaft. By combining a stable butt section with a constant taper bend profile and reinforcing the tip with two additional wraps of super high modulus graphite in the lower third of the golf shaft, Project X reduces spin by up to 500 RPM over other competitors’ low spin Tour shaft models.
